APE — App Piteco

APE: one organized content base, multiple ways to practise

APE stands for Apprentice Practice & Enhancement. Also known as App Piteco, it is a Brazilian educational web platform built to connect content organization with the practice learners actually complete.

Words, sentences, concepts, examples and explanations can be organized once and reused across flashcards, writing, multiple choice, sentence ordering, audio, glossaries and targeted review.

Section 1

Why APE exists

Learning materials are often scattered across documents, spreadsheets and unrelated tools. Teachers rebuild the same content for each activity, while learners lose continuity.

APE keeps a recognizable content base while changing the task. Teachers decide what stays private, what is assigned to a class and what is published.

Section 2

From content to review

  • Organize words, sentences or concepts.
  • Configure sides, languages, examples and context.
  • Attempt retrieval before revealing the answer.
  • Compare the attempt with feedback.
  • Reuse the content across different activities.
  • Return to difficult or relevant items.

Section 3

For learners

Learners can practise personal, assigned or public materials. Audio, favorites and different task formats support review without promising automatic outcomes.

Section 4

For teachers

Teachers can create or import materials, organize folders and lists, assign sources to classes and maintain isolated class glossaries.

Section 5

Authorship and professional experience

APE was created by Pedro Luis, a Brazilian English tutor and software builder. On 25 July 2026, his public Preply profile displayed 1,971 lessons, 26 active students, 42 public reviews with a 4.8 average and a verified teaching certificate. These figures support professional experience, not scientific efficacy of the software.

Section 6

Methodology and limits

APE provides features consistent with retrieval practice, feedback, task variation and revisiting. The product has not published its own randomized controlled trial and does not guarantee learning.
